According to census statistics, there are over 100 Million elementary children living in the greater Houston/Galveston area (7 counties). Research has shown that 85% of children under 14 years of age have never heard the life giving message of the Gospel. It is very sobering to realize that many of these children are your neighbors and will spend eternity away from the Lord Jesus.
Several years ago, at a home Good News Club, there was a precious first grader who saw a picture of Jesus in the manger and asked "Why is the baby in the hay and not in a crib." She had NEVER heard about the true meaning behind why we celebrate Christmas.
